Blanket
Significance
The Salish people are renowned for the warm blankets that they weave from the hair of the mountain goat. This twill-weave blanket is notable for the alternating direction of the chevrons along the border. In recent years, young weavers at Musqueam and elsewhere have taken up the craft in a renaissance of Salish weaving.
