Neon Products Ltd. manufacturer’s nameplate
Significance
Neon companies proclaimed their share of Vancouver’s neon landscape through nameplates that were mounted on signs. This was a nameplate for Vancouver’s largest neon company, Neon Products Ltd., which began operation in 1935. The nameplate is made of metal with a baked enamel finish. Nameplates were scaled to the size of the neon sign. This is a small one, but it also came in versions more than a meter long.
