We Deliver (Owl Rexall Drugs) sign
Significance
Neon marked the moment when Vancouver was pulled into the network of North America-wide chain stores. Hootie the Owl was the advertising symbol for Rexall Drugs, a chain of drugstores with eventually eight locations in Vancouver. Hootie’s neon wings flapped as he rushed prescriptions around the town.
