Yucho Chow's photographic case
Significance
This photographic equipment case has the name and company logo of Yucho Chow on the front. The logo is a stylized version of the Chinese characters for Yucho Chow’s name shaped to look like a photographer bending over a camera. Chow was an important Vancouver photographer who welcomed customers of many backgrounds to his studio (located near Chinatown at several different addresses over the years). Chow photographed members of the Punjabi and Japanese communities, as well as Chinese Canadians.
