Reel 2 Real International Film Festival for Youth – Animating History

Animating History is an animation workshop series offered at the MOV in partnership with Reel 2 Real International Film Festival for Youth. Students produce a three-minute animated film with guidance from a professional animator and a volunteer. Students participate in all aspects of production: storyboarding, character and background creation, camerawork, and sound. This popular animation workshop series has successfully run each year from October to June since 2003.

Animating History was suspended during the Pandemic, but resumed in February, 2022. The animation instructors have updated the storyboards, and are working on new stories.
